Operation rescheduled!!

We had some bad news today - Elizabeth's operation has been rescheduled for December 1st. We were mentally prepared for next week, but we will just have to 'stand down' and try to enjoy the next couple of weeks as much as possible.

Speaking of enjoying ourselves...the attached photo is of us on a hay ride (the occasion being Elinor's sixth birthday party). It was a fabulous experience rolling through the beautiful Northumberland scenery. Mr Dodd's horses had been ploughing the fields that morning. They work the only farm in Britain still relying purely on horses.

Your fan club was mentally prepared for next week as well! We'll just have to alter the date in our diaries.

It looks very cold in your pics but at least you're getting some sun which is more than we are here at the moment!

Love,

Sue

Wishing you all the best - have been hearing about Anna's progress via my folks (Mardi and Trev Scarratt). Will keep everything crossed for you on the 1st. (PS. You and Suzanne haven't changed a bit from when we used to come to New Year parties at your parents house when we were younger!)

Dear all,
Just logged in to the blog for the first time in ages, hoping to read good news. Sorry to hear that the date has been...Andy, you know we have trouble with this concept...the date has been moved forward right? I mean, moved back. Anyway...I'll be keeping posted and thinking of you all. I arrive back in the UK on 1st December, and will be staying at Grant's for a week before returning to London. Meanwehile, after numerous computer hassles and generally having to go to Manhattan or the nearest Starbucks in NJ just to log on, I've discovered that there's one place in Passang's apartment where I can get free wifi signal. Not sure how, but you know I'm slow with technology. So anyway, my laptop is back from repairs and I'm online again! Send me an email some time; would love to hear form you. Talk to you when I get back home. Good to see the photos of you all, and I look forward to seeing you all and meeting Anna very soon.
Lots of love
